This intriguing place is situated right next to Broadview station. It’s not really in the downtown core, yet close to it and accessible by subway. Its mainly a take-out place, but if you’d like to eat right there, then there is limited seating for about 10 people. Pizza boxes decorate the bright green walls and there is a big sign inside the restaurant that has interesting words like Gluten, Lactose, Fat, Yeast and Wheat on it. And these very words are what differentiate this place from others.

There is a wide range of Gourmet pizzas available for a varied palate at the Magic Oven. Whether it’s the popular regular white flour pizza base or the whole wheat that is yeast free, oil free and sugar free, or the vegan range for people with allergies or religious preferences, there is something for everyone. I’m told that the grain for the vegan base comes from Egypt. How intriguing!

Gluten free is also available for people who do not want to have white or whole-wheat base pizzas. Actually all their pizzas are yeast, oil and sugar free.

Several types of cheeses are used, i.e. rice cheese, lactose-free cheese, dairy goat cheese or Asiago cheese amongst others. Then there is organic mozzarella and Bocconcine cheese that is like mozzarella.

Besides the gourmet pizzas, there is a wide variety of pastas and sandwiches available. Seafood lovers can enjoy the smoked salmon pasta or even the Smoked Salmon and Capers sandwich.

Magic Oven is primarily available for take-out and delivery (with casual seating for 10 people). But they also offer a dining experience in their Café Next Door! Certainly a place where there is something for everybody!
